CHANGING CAREERS
by: n2nursingu

I hear and feel your pain!! I am a nurse and I changed careers after 14 yrs of nursing. I just got burned out and needed a change. I have contacted several companies over the past few weeks and I have read just about everything these companies offer and what they will or will not "excuse". I think, If I remember correctly, there were several that inquired about past 10 yrs criminal histories. So more than 16 yrs for DUI's, well they might overlook that. Best Wishes and happy hunting.

by: Anonymous

THANKS BILLY,
I DID JUST THAT AND EACH ONE REPLYED THAT 1 OR 2 DUIs in a life time was there limit. AINT THAT A BITCH.
HERE I AM 60 YEARS OLD, WORKED AS A TRAVELING RESPIRATORY THERAPIST FROM 2001 TO JAN. 2009. I WAS LAID OFF ( CONTRACT FINISHED) AND ALL THE WORK DRIED UP. I LOOKED INTO MY OPP.S AND TRUCK DRIVING WAS BY THE FAR BEST.I SPENT 6 MONTHS ( NIGHT SCHOOL) TRYING TO GET MY CDL,BUT FAILED- YES IT WAS A GREAT SCHOOL BUT NOT FOR ME.
THEN I FIND OUT THE WHOLE INDUSTRY IS AGAINST ME AND MANY OTHERS (FELONIES) WHO HAD MAKE A MISTAKE IN THEIR LIFETIME.THEY SAY LIFE ISNT FAIR WELL ISNT TIME WE WORK AT MAKING IT BETTER!!! ESP. IN THESE
HARD TIME WHEN MANY PEOPLE LIKE ME WANT TO WORK AND BE PRODUCTIVE.
WAKE UP AMERICA- GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS AND MAKE PRODUCTIVE CHANCES- PUT US BACK TO WORK!!!!

DUI
by: Billy

If its been 16 years you should not have a problem.
Start contacting several companies you would like to work for and ask them there policy.
