I went through a CDL School and was promised plenty of miles and home at least 1 day a week off with 2 weeks out.

That was a lie . 4 weeks out and three weeks routing me home. Then told to sit and wait for a trailer to get dispatched. If you go to Pam for a driver jobs I hope you have plenty of money in the bank to cover your bills. I averaged $150.00 A week not enough to pay bills with let alone pay bills at home and have food while on the road.
